Was Jeremy Corbyn’s Glasto ‘love-in’ a sinister hijacking of our gullible youth?

-

IF wE needed confirmation that Glastonbury was a home for Left-wing activism, this year’s ‘love-in’ provided the proof with the appearances of Jeremy Corbyn and John Mcdonnell. Today’s forms of communication are dangerous. Many social media users accept any deceit that is fed to them via the likes of Twitter and Facebook. Clearly, Corbyn’s promise to abolish student tuition fees had the intended effect on the election. he also benefited from the fact that students thrive on social media and most of them have little knowledge of unbiased history. Prior to world war II, the Germans ignored the rise of the hitler Youth that

had been fooled into believing nazi propaganda. Before long, the Fuhrer owned them. We should be worried about events such as Glastonbury, which now seems to have become part of the political arena.

IF SOME 175,000 people attended Glastonbury and paid more than £240 each for the tickets alone, life under the Conservatives can’t be as bad as Jeremy Corbyn and his supporters are saying.

J. C. BYrNe, harrow. IF JeReMY CORBYn had had loaves and fishes, it could have been a second sermon on the mount, given the fervour with which the young people received him. he has brainwashed a whole section of the electorate with his schemes of giving money away. If he did gain power, I can see the UK bankrupt and broken inside a year.

AM I ALONE in my outrage at Jeremy Corbyn’s cynical exploitation of the Grenfell Tower fire and Glastonbury? Corbyn has targeted the gullibility of the young when it comes to promises of a ‘something for nothing society’ — his Marxist nirvana. To hijack these two major events in this way has taken Left-wing populism to new depths.

GeoffreY h. lazell, diss, Norfolk. JOhn McDOnnell used a debate session to proclaim the victims of Grenfell Tower were ‘murdered’ as a result of political decisions. To use such language before any of the inquiries have reported their findings is disgraceful.

HOW kind of the Glasto audience to applaud the old chap’s comedy routine on stage. It was nice that his carers were there to see him home safely. Where he is performing next?
