Yanworth in drugs probe

TRAINER Alan King faces a BHA disciplinary hearing tomorrow after it emerged Yanworth returned a positive drug test following his seventh place in this season’s Champion Hurdle in March. Sent off a wellbacked 2-1 favourite, the seven-year-old could never land a blow over a trip which did not play to his strengths. His sample showed traces of medication which had failed to clear on the day of the race. It is believed to be a stable oversight rather than anything untoward.
