Clarifications & corrections

In common with other newspapers, we published an agency report on 6 July 2016 about a family dispute over the burial of businessman Peter Hanson which wrongly referred to mrs Renate Spickenreuther as his ‘mistress’ and said that she had launched legal proceedings demanding to be buried in the same grave as mr Hanson, against the wishes of the Hanson family. In fact, mrs Spickenreuther was not romantically involved with mr Hanson while he was married, she was never his mistress, and the legal proceedings were about the inscription on his gravestone. We apologise for any distress caused.
