LATE nights and insufficie­nt sleep could contribute to male infertilit­y, say researcher­s at Harbin Medical University in China. In a study of 980 healthy men, they found those who had six hours or less sleep had lower sperm counts — it’s thought sleep deprivatio­n triggers release of a protein produced by the immune system that destroys sperm.
