Lesley, 62: HRT saved my voice

LesLey Garrett has revealed that HRT saved her voice, dubbing the therapy the ‘saviour of the soprano’.

The 62- year- old opera singer, pictured, revealed she has been taking the hormone replacemen­t therapy for 20 years after experienci­ng an early menopause, and credited it with sustaining her career. she explained that singers ‘lose the tops of our voices when we hit the menopause’.

Asked how she avoided this, the motherof-two told the Daily Telegraph: ‘I have had singing lessons every week of my life for 40 years, but basically three letters: HRT. It is the saviour of the soprano.

‘I want you to put it in black and white, HRT is the most wonderful drug ... I’m never going to come off it.’
