WITH food and drink everywhere, Birkdale in Open week should be a magnet for seagulls. And it would be were it not for the lurking presence of ‘Gin’, a Harris Hawk, and ‘Jet’, a falcon, employed on a shift basis to keep the unwanted gulls at bay.
