Mairead Tansley
TANSLEY, 49, was jailed in June for leaving a 90-year-old man she was paid £3,000 a month to take care of emaciated, dehydrated, delirious and living in squalor.
The victim died in hospital in February last year, just four months after being discovered by police in a neglected state.
Officers were alerted after abnormally large sums of money were siphoned from the victim’s bank account. Tansley, from Enfield, North London, at first denied, but later admitted, a charge of neglect.
She was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court to nine months in prison.
