CONTINUING the unsettling surreal tone of Jane Campion’s 2013 series, this follow-up finds d detective Robin Griffin (Elisabeth Moss, pictured right) back in Sydney, hhoping to reconnect withw the daughter she gave up ffor adoption. Now a deeply unpleasant teenager, Mary (Alice Englert) is rebelling against her adoptive parents, Julia (Nicole Kidman) and Pyke (Ewen Leslie) and going out with an older man called Puss (David Dencik). But when Puss turns out to have a connection to Robin’s latest murder case, his vile, abrasive personality is the least of their worries.
