INK AT THE DEEP END!
Peaty’s gran in tattoo tribute to swim superstar
Look... I’ve got a tattoo too! That’s what Adam Peaty’s nan Mavis seemed to be saying as they met up to celebrate his two gold medals in Budapest.
With Peaty’s mum Caroline looking on, the 74year-old showed how she’s the British swim king’s biggest fan by having a temporary lion tattoo put on her arm to match the more permanent one inked on Peaty’s bulging left bicep.
The 22-year-old, who retained both his 50m and 100m breaststroke titles at the World Championships, will have his family cheering him when he goes for a hat-trick of golds in tomorrow’s 4x100m men’s medley relay.
If he needed any more inspiration it came last night from Great Britain’s 4x200m freestyle relay team, who pipped Russia to win gold. Stephen Milne, Nick Grainger, Duncan Scott and James Guy won in a time of 7min 1.70sec.
