Mandy heads high-tech £100m cyber security firm

-

ARCH Europhile Peter Mandelson has landed a cushy new job — as the boss of a £100 million cybersecurity company.

Mandelson has revealed in the Register of Lords Interests that he has been appointed as the European chairman of BlueteamGlobal. The entry says Mandy will ‘work with an operational team of former European cyber-intelligence professionals’.

BlueteamGlobal was co-founded by Jim Rosenthal, former chief operating officer at Morgan Stanley, the American financial services giant which employed Lord Mandelson’s former boss Tony Blair as a senior adviser.

Intriguingly, Mandy warned of dire consequences for trade with China last year if Britain pulled out of the Hinkley Point nuclear power project over fears that Chinese involvement might pose a security threat. No danger of that with the Prince of Darkness watching over our cyber-borders.
