To end the summer with a bang, model sisters Edie and Olympia Campbell threw a joint birthday bash for more than 200 friends and relatives at Fawsley Hall Hotel in Northamptonshire — with 57-year-old father Roddy Campbell proving he can still get down with the kids.
Newly released photos show the former hedge fund manager-turned-entrepreneur only too happy to go along with the ‘Absolute Filth’ dress code.
The Old Etonian, whose parenting style Edie once described as ‘ very liberal’, donned a lady’s black swimsuit, bunny ears and fishnets.
Later in the night, he could be seen posing in a sailor cap with a topless Edie, 26, while watching his youngest daughter Olympia, 21, spank the exposed bottom of her elder brother Arthur.
Edie, goddaughter of Conde Nast chairman Nicholas Coleridge, was discovered by snapper Mario Testino aged 15 and has appeared on the cover of Vogue and starred in Burberry’s 2016 summer campaign. A Courtauld graduate, she once dated Bryan Ferry’s son, Otis.
Her mother, architect Sophie Hicks who was also at the party, commented alongside a picture of her daughters on social media: ‘My two tartlets’.
However, the photos have provoked a bemused reaction from other followers, with one noting: ‘ It’s disturbing that the father’s new wife is only two years older than his daughter and he is still able to look at his daughter’s half-naked body.’
Roddy’s new young Turkish wife Elif Kutsal, the McKinsey oil and gas consultant whom he wed in 2016 after divorcing Hicks, commented wryly on Instagram: ‘This is the family I married into’. One party- goer dressed up in a nun’s habit with a sign around her neck saying: ‘Confess your filth’. Another wore a black leather dog’s mask and was dragged around on all fours by a leash.
Others in attendance included Idina Moncreiffe, described by Tatler as a potential bride for Prince Harry before he started dating Meghan Markle; artist Alba Hodsoll, dressed as a dominatrix; and socialite Tiger Chadwick, daughter of artist Danny Chadwick and Lady Georgia Byng,
daughter of the 8th Earl of Strafford. By the end of the night’s festivities, 26-year-old Tiger found herself naked in a field, with nothing but a leaf to cover her modesty.
Roddy once complained he didn’t know why he spent so much on his daughters’ education, given their career choices.
Edie went to £24,000-a-year St Paul’s and Olympia to the £17,000-a-year City of London School for Girls.
