HARRY GETS NOD... BUT ONLY FOR TWO GAMES!

- SAMI MOKBEL

GARETH SOUTHGATE is set to continue his policy of rotating the captaincy between Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane by handing the Tottenham striker the armband for tomorrow’s game against Slovenia and Sunday’s clash with Lithuania. Liverpool midfielder Henderson was skipper for the previous two games against Malta and Slovakia. For the time being, Southgate believes naming different captains is beneficial for his squad as he looks to foster greater leadership within the camp. And while Gary Cahill and Joe Hart have also captained the team under Southgate, the England manager will choose between Kane and Henderson if he decides to appoint a full-time skipper.
