SIGNING OFF

The former finance director of embattled builder Carillion is stepping down from the board of estate agent Countrywide.

Richard Adam, 59, left Carillion about seven months before a disastrous trading update that wiped about 70pc off its market value.

Last month he also resigned from the board of First Group, about six months after joining.
