First moves to strip him of CBE

A LETTER has been sent calling for the start of the process to have Weinstein, right, stripped of his CBE.

Labour MP Chi Onwurah, the shadow minister for industrial strategy, has written to the Honours Forfeiture Committee, which will decide if Weinstein’s honour should be

removed in light of dozens of sexual harassment allegations.

A Cabinet Office spokesman said yesterday: ‘Each case is considered on its merits. The committee’s recommendations for forfeiture are submitted through the Prime Minister to The Queen.’
