Look Who’s the latest sidekick for the Doctor
BRADLEY Walsh has been unveiled as one of Doctor Who’s new sidekicks.
The 57-year-old is the oldest actor in the show’s history to be cast in the role of a regular ‘companion’ to the Doctor.
He was pictured at the weekend with co-stars Mandip Gill, 29, and Tosin Cole, 25, as well as 35-year-old Jodie Whittaker – the first female Time Lord.
The trio will appear as the Doctor’s companions Graham, Yasmin and Ryan in the next ten-week series due in autumn 2018. Walsh said he was thrilled to be joining the show.
The actor, who presents TV game show The Chase, said: ‘I remember watching William Hartnell as the first Doctor. Black and white made it very scary for a youngster. I’d watch from behind the sofa through my fingers, [but] I became a fan.’
