THE Billericay Town owner-cum-manager was this week named the second most powerful person in Essex, behind Alan Sugar. I have no idea who votes for this nor why such a list even exists. But more impressive is the fact Tamplin’s team boast the best winning percentage in the top seven divisions in England. Billericay have won nine out of 10 in the Isthmian League Premier Division and are still in the FA Cup too.

THOUSANDS of fans turned up at a regular training session to show their support after a double from exciting 20-year-old Kasper Dolberg (right) helped Ajax beat Dutch champions Feyenoord 4-1. The clip went down a storm on Twitter, leading Feyenoord fans to claim it was all a set-up for social media. Dutch football: more entertaining off the field than on.
