however, influential TV producer Stephen Lambert, head of Studio Lambert and creator of Gogglebox, said it was an ‘inspired choice’.

Intriguingly, Studio Lambert was in talks a few years ago to make a show about Mumsnet, the parenting website co-founded by katz’s wife Justine Roberts.

‘We did work on developing it, but it was never commissioned,’ says a spokesman for Lambert.

now katz is Channel 4 boss, it may stand a better chance.
