AFTER the upheaval of the Russian Revolution, there was a chance for the country’s artists to challenge taboos in painting. That movement is the subject of this elegant new documentar­y, which tackles the abstract work of such artists as Wassily Kandinsky.

THIS new series, a blend of Long Lost Family and Who Do You Think You Are?, is hosted by Alex Jones. Both this week’s cases are searches for missing fathers, and the first — that of Andrew, formerly with M People — reveals a surprising story of adultery.

MODERN FASHION Growing Up Supermodel, 10pm, Lifetime

ARISSA, daughter of Kelly LeBrock (pictured, with Arissa) and actionstar Steven Seagal, is a plus-size model, and one of the celebrity offspring making it in modelling in this new reality series. It’s a pretty bland show at first, but it does soon prove to be a rather interestin­g window into some unusual families . . .

SCOTTISH SITCOM Two Doors Down, 9.10pm/ 9.50pm, GOLD

THIS sharp sitcom, set in a Glasgow suburb, delivers laughs with reliabilit­y. Episodes usually revolve around bringing together all the neighbours — played by Doon Mackichan (pictured) and Arabella Weir, among others — who then steadily wind each other up. These are the first two episodes.

FANTASY DRAMA Blindspot, 10pm, Sky Living

SEASON three of this U.S. thriller takes an almost fantastica­l twist as a mysterious artefact covers Jane (Jaimie Alexander) in a fresh set of tattoos. What do they mean? There’s been a shift of locations, too — Jane and husband Kurt are now in Venice, which serves as a striking backdrop to the action.

WILL FERRELL and Amy Poehler play parents who start an illegal casino to finance their children’s college fund in this brash comedy.
