Redpath Jnr gets second Sale shot

- ROB WILDMAN

CAMERON REDPATH will be back on duty this month to help Sedbergh’s push for the SOCS Daily Mail Schools Trophy. Redpath, the son of former Scotland captain Bryan, plays his second game for Sale tonight in the Anglo-Welsh Cup when Saracens visit the AJ Bell Stadium. The 17-year-old became Sale’s youngest player in the 24-21 win at Worcester last week. Redpath had been expected to play only one game for Sale, but he gave an impressive performance on his debut. Sedbergh coach Simon Mulholland said: ‘It was decided to give him another opportunity at Sale but he will be back for the rest of the term.’ The centre, who is in England’s Under 18 squad despite his father representing Scotland, has helped Sedbergh win all six Trophy games so far. He will miss the match tomorrow against RGS Lancaster but will be available for a run-in which include a clash with leaders Wellington at Broad Street RFC, Coventry, on November 29. Wellington, seeking a fourth title in succession, play Hampton tomorrow.
