EXPERT VERDICT: This works best with meals such as roast dinners where there are distinct carb, protein and veg elements. For composite meals such as chilli or bolognese, you’re told to ignore the two small ‘holes’ and just use the bigger compartmen­t twice — once for the composite food and then again for the veg, but i don’t think it really works three times a day as the manufactur­er claims. however, even if you just use it for dinner, it should help weight control — though i’m not sure whether a 57kg Portion master really will help you achieve that specific weight. 7/10
