WE’VE ALL
noticed the chill in the refrigerator aisles of supermarkets — but help is at hand courtesy of F1 motor racing know-how.
Aerofoil technology developed by the Williams F1 Group is being rolled out across fridges at 1,400 Sainsbury’s supermarkets.
The aim is to use the areofoils to act as a barrier to cut the energy used by refrigerators by up to 30 per cent, keeping food cold while also warming up the aisles for customers by up to 4c.
