DaviD D Thornhill was highlighted in norwich’s programme as a superfan — and then he rescued their game against P Preston. assistant referee Mark Jones was in injured and had to be replaced by fourth o official andy Davies. That meant there was nobody to take Davies’s place on the touchline. The game was set to be called off, but Thornhill (left), a qualified referee, took the role. his main act was showing 1 10 minutes of added time — and he clearly e enjoyed every second.
