Toy sales boost shares
SHARES in Games Workshop jumped after it revealed booming sales.
The specialist toy company said it expects to report a 54pc increase in sales to £109m for the six months to November 26.
Profits at the fantasy miniatures maker are set to rise from £13.8m to £38m. It will publish the full set of results on January 9.
Shares in the Nottingham-based retailer surged 7.1pc, or 139p, to 2097p.
The group’s shares have soared 150pc over the past year. A weaker pound has boosted Games Workshop as 75pc of its sales are made overseas.
