AS Hollywood actresses, they revel in a bit of theatre.
And it seems some glamorous stars were in full drama queen mode last night – if their outlandish dresses were anything to go by.
Keira Knightley wore an ivorycoloured tulle creation – with two oversized lime-green velvet bows hanging from the sleeves – that billowed around her as she posed on the red carpet.
The actress, 32, was at the Evening Standard’s Theatre Awards at the Theatre Royal in London’s West End.

Blanchett, who matched a baby pink embellished Alexander McQueen jumper with a fussy Victorian-style skirt.
Miss Blanchett was co-hosting the awards with Vogue editor-inchief Anna Wintour – who might have had something to say about her choice of attire.
Her outfit was only slightly less dazzling than that worn by actress Billie Piper, 35, whose one-shouldered sequinned dress caught the flash of the cameras.
Also competing for red carpet attention was Poppy Delevingne, 31, who festooned her shoulders with bright blue feathers.
