‘Vegetarian’ singer Jenkins’ fish supper hits a sour note

PREGNANT classical singer Katherine Jenkins felt compelled to defend her food choices this weekend after posting a seemingly innocuous photo of herself eating fish and chips before a show in Southend, Essex.

The Welsh-born star, 37, who is expecting her second child by husband Andrew Levitas, has proudly called herself a vegetarian since 2008 — which means excluding both meat and fish. When one woman questioned her seafood meal, Katherine quickly replied: ‘Pescetarian! I don’t eat meat but I eat fish!’
