Online dating? I’m far too old, says Anthea Turner

HER ex- husband, bankrupt businessman Grant Bovey, signed up to the popular dating app Bumble earlier this year, but former Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner will never look for love online.

‘No, I’m far too old for that! I don’t do things like that. I don’t even know where I’d begin,’ she tells me at a party in Central London.

‘I’m far too old-fashioned about things like that and I prefer to meet someone in real life. I can’t imagine meeting someone for a date who I’ve met online.

‘That is literally the weirdest thing in the world to me.’

Anthea, 57, recently admitted she still keeps in touch with Grant for the sake of his three children, whom she helped raise for years.

They split in 2015 after it was discovered Grant had been serially unfaithful during their 15-year marriage.
