THE dismissal of Dawid Malan on the fourth evening was so crucial. Had England been three down when Australia were shouting and swearing and losing their way, the whole dynamic would have been different. But once again in the second innings Australia’s quick bowlers held sway. England need these batters to start scoring runs.
