LOOKMAN STARS AS EVERTON KIDS SHINE
ADEMOLA LOOKMAN has yet to kick on from the blistering start he made to his Everton career but here in Cyprus he gave Sam Allardyce a timely reminder of his talent ahead of Sunday’s derby. Apollon Limassol are not Liverpool and yet the quality of Lookman’s two goals should still be recognised by Allardyce, who was watching back home after a medical appointment and is considering how best to tackle Jurgen Klopp’s side. In this form, Lookman would be a serious asset off the bench, as he was when scoring his only other goal for Everton, against Manchester City in January. That was soon after Lookman’s £10million move from Charlton, but his progress has stalled. Yet last night, the 20-year-old anticipated a fine cross to the far post by Nikola Vlasic and then applied a firm header to send the ball into the net for his first goal in the 21st minute. His second soon after was a spectacular 30-yard strike to round off a 26-pass move that included every Everton player. He then missed a chance for his third in the 57th minute. ‘I should have had a hat-trick,’
