Olympians can award themselves an OLY tag

OLYMPIANS have been given the chance to mark their achievement by putting OLY after their name. The World Olympians Association launched the initiative, which makes the honour available to the 100,000 living Olympians. Joel Bouzou, the WOA president and an Olympic medallist, said: ‘Olympians. Register now to use your OLY letters. Just like PhD or other post-nominal designations, you as an Olympian can now use the letters OLY after your name to recognise the years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance it took to become an Olympian.’ Olympians may also register for a free @olympian.org email address.
