Drama student cleared
A TEENAGE drama student accused of raping a woman following a drunken night out was cleared by a jury yesterday. The woman claimed Jack Green, 19, grabbed her throat and pushed her down on his bed before having sex with her.
Manchester Crown Court heard he was arrested shortly afterwards at his room at the Arden School of Theatre in the city.
The night out occurred in September last year when Green and the woman, also 19, were among friends who went to a nightclub.
Green admitted having sex with the woman and sending her texts and told police he had not wanted things to get out of hand.
