ENGLAND HELP OUT CHALOBAH
NATHANIEL CHALOBAH is using St George’s Park to continue his rehab from a knee injury. Watford’s Chalobah, who was called up by Gareth Southgate in August before knee surgery in September, is hopeful of a January comeback. His club had hoped the 23-year-old, who is now off crutches, would be back with them before the new year but it may take a little longer. The FA agreed to let the midfielder continue his recovery at England’s Staffordshire training centre. Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose did the same when he was coming back from a knee problem. The centre offers players a change of scenery alongside treatment and training. Though Chalobah was called up by England before his injury, he did not receive a cap, but he is hopeful of going to the 2018 World Cup.
