Voucher group sell-off

DISCOUNTS website My Voucher Codes has been snapped up by Go Compare for £36.5m.

The company, which says it has 45m annual visitors, is the UK’s largest online voucher website.

It is partnered with thousands of companies, including fashion retailers Asos, broadcaster Sky and travel agent expedia. My Voucher Codes is expected to post profits of £4m for 2017 on revenues of £11.8m.

Price comparison group Go Compare, which listed in London last year, said the acquisition would allow it to offer its users deals and incentives. The firm unveiled a rosy trading update with revenues likely to be at the upper end of expectations – about 5pc up at £149m.
