WHY all the furore about equality for women’s football?

In Holland, they have even signed a gender- equal salary deal. Here, female players complain about inequality of wages and the lack of childcare facilities at clubs.

I tell you what would be equality, ladies — if you set up your teams independently of Premier League clubs and pay for your own grounds rather than expect established clubs to open their doors to you.

Do millions of people want to pay vast sums to watch women’s football matches? The politically correct BBC has flooded its football shows with female reporters, interviewers and pundits, and by doing so has diluted the quality of its sports programmes.

And I bet they aren’t paid the same as their male counterparts.
