I AM sorry that Tom Martin’s prostate cancer diagnosis was so delayed in Edinburgh (Mail). Eight days after a GP referral, I saw a consultant; four days later I had an MRI scan; 11 days later I had biopsies (which were delayed because I had to come off prescribed medication first) and four days later I was given the diagnosis and my treatment was decided.

What wonderful care by all the NHS staff involved at the Royal Free Trust.
