Snapchat axes UK jobs

SNAPCHAT’S owner axed jobs in the UK after lacklustre growth.

Snap, the photo app’s parent, said it had scrapped 24 roles globally, with reports adding staff in London and New York had been asked to relocate to its base in Los Angeles. The firm would not say how many staff in London had left but a source said it was ‘a small number’.

A Snap spokesman confirmed the cuts and said it was part of a restructure.
