Gerry Mallon, 46 Chief executive, Tesco Bank
NORTHERN Irishman Gerry Mallon has been appointed chief executive of Tesco Bank.
The married father of four starts in July after the departure of Benny Higgins who is retiring. Mallon is chairman of the Irish Football Association and has an economics degree from Cambridge. He quit Ulster Bank for the job.
He was boss at Danske Bank in the UK from 2008 to 2016.
A Liverpool fan, his own football career was hit ‘when I was tragically diagnosed with a lack of talent’.
