McDonnell sets sights on elite

-

THE rich face a ‘social and political avalanche’ unless the economic rules are torn up to favour ordinary people, the Shadow Chancellor warned last night.

John McDonnell said he was going to Davos today with a ‘warning for the global elite’.

The hard-Left Labour politician added there would be ‘a price to pay’ for the wealthy if they stood in the way of economic reforms designed to help the poor.

Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is not attending the gathering, but Mr McDonnell said he would use his speech today to demand a global drive against tax-dodging and financial secrecy, as well as democratic control over the economy.
