Fans are too quiet, says Robinson

- WILL KELLEHER

JASON ROBINSON wants England fans to make more noise at Twickenham this Saturday to increase the pressure on Warren Gatland’s new-look Welsh team. ‘In the autumn I don’t think the atmosphere was that great, to be honest,’ said the World Cup winner. ‘I am just hoping, because of how Wales played last week and the fact that we know they are going to be a threat, it gets the crowd going a bit more. ‘Hopefully it will be very noisy. Twickenham is a tough place to play and there is a lot less experience in some of those Wales players, so it will be interesting to see if they can handle playing away from home.’ England are on a record-equalling run of 14 consecutive wins at Twickenham in the championship. Win on Saturday and they will pass Sir Clive Woodward’s 1998-2003 team as the most dominant Six Nations force at home in history. Land Rover ambassador Robinson added: ‘Last year was an awful Six Nations for Wales but England are in for a very tough game.’
