FAIRYTALE CONTINUES FOR DISNEY
CAPTAIN Guy Disney, who lost his right leg below the knee while serving in Afghanistan in 2009, yesterday landed the Royal Artillery Gold Cup for the second year running on David Pipetrained Rathlin Rose. Disney, who 12 months ago became the first jockey to ride a winner under rules in Britain with a prosthetic leg, returns to Sandown next month to try to retain the Grand Military Gold Cup on the same horse. He said: ‘I should call it a day having won three on him. It’s massive. But there’s no point celebrating a win that was a year ago. Winning is a drug.’
