Cara takes cover in her ‘chav’ gear
AFTER former EASTENDERS actress Daniella Westbrook, who lost her septum through chronic cocaine use, was splashed across the papers dressed head-to-toe in Burberry’s check, the classic British fashion label decided to take drastic action to shed its downmarket image.
It appointed American high-flyer Angela Ahrendts as chief executive and designer Christopher Bailey to make it fashionable again.
But with Ahrendts gone and Bailey on his way out, Burberry seems to have returned to its ‘chavvy’ period.
Models Cara Delevingne and Edie Campbell wore Burberry baseball caps once favoured by football hooligans at London Fashion Week. Cara sported matching leggings and trainers, with a brightly coloured striped coat that was even more garish, while Edie wore an oversized body warmer.
Little wonder property developer’s daughter Cara tried to cover her face.
