Flying Scots josh Jones

-

ENGLAND head coach Eddie Jones is insisting on his squad staying overnight after away games during this year’s six Nations, probably in the pre-tournament expectation of having three wins to celebrate together.

It makes for a good party when the team win in Rome, but depressing in the extreme when you lose in Edinburgh.

However, at least credit Jones for still wanting to pose for pictures — even with worse-for-wear scottish fans on the packed 9.15am Edinburgh to Manchester train yesterday.

Jones was en route to watch Manchester United play Chelsea as a guest of sir Alex Ferguson, although he admitted to being a West Ham fan last week.

The Australian travelled alone on the train with — no RFU minders because he was on a private trip — and had to put with plenty of abuse from scottish supporters.
