A vote for democracy
LIKE many young people, my children were apathetic when it came to voting, adopting the attitude: ‘My vote won’t make any difference, so what’s the point?’
However, they were critical of the EU and our membership of it, so I persuaded them to vote in the referendum, telling them this was their chance to make a difference.
Like me, they were overjoyed at the result. What am I to say to them if the Remoaners get their way and water down or even overturn the result? They, and many others, will probably never vote again.
