HIGHER EARNINGS

Workers will see faster wage growth this year, economists have predicted.

The EY ITEM Club says it expects earnings to rise 2.7pc in 2018, up from 2.4pc in 2017. It will be followed by further increases of 3.1pc in 2019 and 3.3pc in 2020, the organisation predicted.
