Potty potter Perry leaves alter ego Claire at home

TURNER prize winner Grayson Perry might be better known as his flamboyant cross dressing alter ego Claire (right) than he is for his ceramic artworks and tapestries.

But when he grows a beard it is harder to get in touch with his feminine alter ego. On Monday he turned up to promote Camberwell College of Arts’s £69 million refurb.

Looking dishevelled without any make-up (left), Grayson donned an eccentric orange cape embellished with pictures of pots.
