Young Tories take battle to Momentum

-

A GROUP of young Tory MPs is launching a campaign to counter the Left- wing Momentum group and win over millennial voters.

The Freer campaign will make the case for capitalism and free speech among the younger generation.

The group will be run by Lee Rowley and Luke Graham, both state-educated MPs in their thirties who represent working-class seats in Derbyshire and Perthshire.

Its manifesto warns of the rise of the ‘Corbynite Left’, saying ‘representatives of our generation… plot the destruction of capitalism while sipping their Starbucks lattes’. And it says ‘coming opportunities can only be fully enjoyed ... if our country continues to chart a course of free markets, free society, and free expression’.
