■ SHARES in engineering firm Versarien popped after it revealed its ‘white graphene’ wonder material.
Hexotene is similar to graphene, a substance just one atom thick, in that it is very thin, fantastic at conducting heat and electricity, and is very strong while being flexible. Versarien says its new material can be used in ceramics, alloys, resins, lubricants, electronics, fuel cells and even laser printing.
Its shares jumped 3.3pc, or 2.5p, to 79.5p.
