Mum crushed by bricks dies

-

A MOTHER crushed by a pallet of bricks after taking her son to nursery has died.

Michaela Boor, right, was hit as the bricks fell from a 70ft crane near a building site in east London on Tuesday.

She was taken to hospital but died yesterday, a day after her 29th birthday. She is said to have walked by the Mile End development of luxury flats, costing up to £650,000, with another mother after dropping her three-year-old son at the nearby St Paul with St Luke Church of England Primary School.

A friend said: ‘Everyone has seen the pallets wobbling … That thing is a death trap. With the school so close by it could have been one of the kids.’

Miss Boor had recently got engaged to her partner of four years, Andrew Murgatroyd, 38. A fundraising page to help the family has been set up by Maytrix Construction where her father Matthew has worked as a bricklayer for 20 years.
