Scoring low Marks

-

M& S has revamped its clothing ranges yet again (Mail). Sorry, but the examples shown were not smart, not attractive and lacked style. The fabric reminded me of an old gingham tablecloth.

The demise of BHS created a gap that M&S could have filled with reasonably priced clothes. Instead we have seen bold colours, frills and sleeves and shoulders with holes in, none of which is flattering to their typical customers, who are aged 50-plus.

VIVIENNE WELLS, Bristol. WHY does Marks & Spencer think that it has to be ‘ relevant’ to the younger generation in its most recent overhaul of its image?

It’s high time that it accepts that middle-aged and mature women are its customers. Sadly, if I were to be given a £ 500 M& S voucher, there would be no clothes I would want to buy.

Mrs K. WILLIAMS, Harrogate. N. Yorks.
