Ibe was only 15 but scoring screamers with his wrong foot!

- Bad by Michael Jackson. It was on a cassette and I’ve probably still got it. TOM FARMERY

FIRST FOOTBALL MEMORY 1

The World Cup in 1990. I was six and remember my dad rushing home for the games. It seemed like the world had ended when we lost to West Germany. I fell in love with the game watching that World Cup.

BEST PLAYER I’VE PLAYED WITH 2

Jordon Ibe. He came in as a 15-year-old and trained with us. He was built like a man. I remember him banging a shot into the top corner with his right foot. I said, ‘Now show me it again with your left,’ and he banged another one in the top corner.

TOUGHEST OPPONENT 3

Claude Makelele. It was like he had eyes in the back of his head. Him and Frank Lampard were immense. The number of times you thought you were about to tackle them and they just popped it off first time, went round the other side and got it back.

FAVOURITE FOOTBALLING MOMENT 4

At Torquay about four years ago when we avoided relegation from League Two. It was the final game and the first time all season we had been in the bottom two. Had we been relegated it might have led to administration and us going part-time.

SPORTING HERO 5

David Platt. He wore No 7 and when I played for my boys’ team I was always No 7.

TOUGHEST AWAY GROUND 6

Huddersfield in League One in 2009. It was on a Sunday so the Sky cameras were there and we got beat 6-0.

7 THE FIRST ALBUM I BOUGHT KARAOKE SONG 8

If I had to choose it would be Kings of Leon — Sex Is On Fire. Something to get everyone going.

BEST DRESSED TEAM-MATE 9

Sam Saunders. He looks like he’s off to a catwalk every day when he’s probably just heading home. He also tries to get everyone to wear his swimwear gear.

DREAM DINNER PARTY GUESTS 10

Paul Gascoigne, another one of my heroes. He’d be hilarious. Tiger Woods would be fascinating given all the things he’s had to deal with. I’d also love to know what it takes to be great and get to the top from someone like Sir Alex Ferguson.

IF I WASN’T A FOOTBALLER... 11

My brother runs a kids’ coaching company so I’d have probably gone down that line. I’ve started doing my coaching badges and have done the PFA media degree in case something else comes up.
