Zlatan is out of this world for Galaxy

-

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC couldn’t have scripted his Hollywood debut any better. The Swedish forward scored twice in his first MLS game to cap Los Angeles Galaxy’s comeback from three goals down to beat Los Angeles FC 4-3 in Saturday’s derby. ‘They wanted Zlatan, I gave them Zlatan,’ said the 36-year-old, who came off the bench with 20 minutes left after fans had chanted his name. Ibrahimovic struck spectacularly from 35 yards to level at 3-3 before heading the winner from Ashley Cole’s cross in added time. Galaxy’s manager Sigi Schmid was full of admiration for Ibrahimovic, who signed from Manchester United last month. ‘That’s just world class, you can’t teach that,’ said Schmid. ‘You can’t do something brilliant unless you dare to be brilliant and Ibrahimovic is a perfect definition of the guy who always dares to be brilliant.’ Asked about the longrange strike, Schmid said: ‘That’s got to be a goal that’s going to go around the world. I’m sure it will be a YouTube sensation, it’s fantastic.’ Forward Ola Kamara added: ‘It was a good team effort but, in the end, it was a Zlatan day.’
